Hi, I am Meng-Hsuan (Monica)

I am a molecular and cellular biologist by training. I received my Ph.D. training from Academia Sinica in Taiwan. My research interest is in understanding the regulatory mechanisms of intracellular membrane trafficking. I found clustering of adhesion protein N-cadherin modulates macropinosome maturation tempo and cell migration via regulating Rab-switch using live-cell and super-resolution imaging techniques during my doctoral training. I joined the Chen group as a postdoctoral associate in 2017, working on understanding how surface copper transporter CTR1 modulates its oligomeric status in mediating surface distribution and internalization of CTR1 in response to copper stress.
